Miller’s “Hard Seven”…

As a big fan of Clarence Miller’s magic, I rate this one pretty high. He makes everything one at a time, by hand, and I count that for a lot. The effect is pretty startling. Remove the inlaid lid from the small box, show the 2 dice. Replace the lid, shake the box, mixing the dice. Remove the lid, show the disarray, replace the lid, do the magic…voila…the dice show a 7. You repeat it twice, each time making the magic seem more difficult. Very nice and well made.

Great Effect With Unremarkable Props

The effect on this is good, especially if you get the right combination. I showed it to a person and they got a really eerie look on their face, like they have seen a ghost. Remember, this isn’t just a one out of three chance…try 1 in 9 possible combinations!

I feel that the construction and materials used are not quite as nice as some of Alan’s other effects, but I wouldn’t pass this up due to the strength of effect.

Everybody got ‘YOT’!!!

Very nice made, fooled me the first time.

A Dollar is put inside and it’s closed. You only push the YOT a few inch from left to right with the tip of your finger over a flat surface and the spectater can say STOP at any time and try to open the YOT. You control who can and who can not open the YOT…
Works every time! Again and again.
No Reset and VERY easy to do.

(You could put 3 people in a row and give only one the ‘Magic Power’…)

Useful Rainbow Deck with Real Cards

Here is a Rainbow deck made out of 52 real cards from various Las Vegas Casinos. Comes with some extra cards too. The cards are not new but that adds to their realism.

I’m sure this will come in use at some time when I have a gambling themed effect.

Nice idea – cheap frame!

This is very elegant in its simplicity. An easy and foolproof way to add a stack of cards to the top of a deck for a whole host of effects. Unfortunately, as is so often the case these days, the frame is a pretty cheap plastic. It certainly works well, but it would be killer if it was better quality.

Or perhaps my bias towards fine woodwork is showing through?
