Linking Rings
My comment is about Linking Rings in general. I believe it’s a wonderful illusion if performed well. I’ve just purchased some fabulous Owen Rings and they are fabulous (but expensive): lightweight, hollow, with invisible junctions. This great set has given me new inspiration to perform this effect!

THIS IS A GREAT, KILLER EFFECT!
I hate that anyone else owns this…I bought one years ago from Mark Trimble, and have loved it ever since. He made 2 models, one with a painted aluminum frame, and the “signature spot” on that one is a small rectangle on the back, the other (more rare) has a wooden frame, and the entire back can be signed. It’s an awesome transposition effect of the hand drawn pictures of the spectator and performer. I’ll recommend it so highly because it deserves it and they’re very hard to find these days.

The Best Knives I’ve seen!
The Mogar Knives are wonderful. They have a great weight, width, and feel which makes them perfect for the color changing knives. There are a large assortment to choose from so you are sure to be able to find the ones you need to make your perfect routine.

This is a great comedy piece from Collector’s Workshop.
Basically, the very ornate family heirloom tray and goblet is handed to the spectator and a few moments later the tray collapses and the goblet breaks apart and falls to the floor – much to the shock and horror of the performer!
If you had the original version of this effect you might have been dissappointed because of the strange noise the tray makes. Well George Robinson has fixed that now with a whole new mechanism that is 100% silent – just the way it should be. Now this little baby is exactly the way you expect it to be. A sheer delight to perform, and hilarious for the audience! As an added bonus it is now possible to change the time it takes before the tray collapses.

A true favorite of the CW line
My review is for the original version which is completely mechanical in that the release is through a clock spring motor so timing is critical but easily manageable and the base is beautiful furniture finished solid walnut rather than brass as in the new version. Otherwise the workings are the same. The effect is startling and dramatic. The ring that appears in the ribbon is the actual spectator’s ring; there is no switching. Very clever item from the devious minds at CW.

As if by Magic the Ring appears!
Well I’ve been complaining for a while now that there is no good, cool magic out there to buy. What a load of horse that is!
I did not realize how much good magic I was missing by over looking a few key Collector’s Workshop effects. Just in the last few weeks I’ve picked up: Creation, Billet Box, Samurai Sword, Can of Corn, and Zodiac to name a few. These are all wonderful effects, that if you don’t own you should check them out at: Collector’s Workshop
This little beauty is another real winner. Easy to do, remote control, visual, and very perplexing.
A ring is borrowed and vanished and without you touching the ribbon it suddenly and visibly appears tied to the ribbon!
Sometimes when I buy expensive props they just don’t work as well as you would expect, but this marvel has worked everytime so far and really didn’t take any getting used to. I only wish all high-end props were this simple and error free! A wonderful prop, and highly recommended!

Kinetic Key – A Classic Effect
I recently picked this up after watching a video clip and have absolutely adored it ever since. They are made incredibly well and some versions even include soldering or welding around the teeth which immediately distracts from any built in locking gimmicks. Kinetic Key, Jr. does not have the welding and appears to be more of a spectator challenge to me but is still gorgeous nevertheless. There is one simple sleight but it is performed so slow and casual that it appears as if nothing has happened. Needless to say, I perform it very often. In fact, every opportunity that I get. I loved it so much that I have been trying to collect all available versions on the market. A beautiful classic and a real pleasure to own.
Review by Andy Martin for Stunners Plus! by Larry Becker

Wow! This is where the true miracles begin!
Larry Becker is an incredible Mentalist. But once you read this book you’ll realize he is a lot more than that! One of his biggest hits, Russian Roulette, is explained in detail in this book, and frankly even when you know how this is done you will realise how absolutely brilliant Larry Becker is. I have long been an admirer of his magic, and this book prooves why.
Talk about incredible value. There is so much in here, and you can buy it directly from Larry for an incredible price at his new StunnersPlus.com website.
This is such a thick tomb, it will keep you going and going and going. Thank-you Larry for re-releasing this incredible volume, and adding more to boot. If you buy no other book this year, buy this one!
Review by Gary Michaels for Bauer 07 – Dixie by Ron Bauer

Underground Genius
Anything from Bauer is worth the price: I’m priveleged to be a member of this underground genius’s weekly roundtable in the far-north suburbs of Detroit (at which the folks frequently take notes while the master speaks); a former protege of Don Alan — his best friend, actually — Ron’s Private Studies take the given effect and explore it in-depth, playing mostly with the reasoning behind each move (the lesser man would call this “magic theory,” a concept which Bauer disdains — “it’s just a trick, for God’s sake!”) and essentially getting to the heart of it all — the audience’s reaction. This cat is the best-kept secret in magic today. Highly recommend Dowdy’s new site on Ron: http://thinklikeaconjuror.com

I love it when I buy the same effect again!
When you sell too many items you run the risk of selling some of your pet effects. This was one of those.
I have always liked this effect and think that it is incredibly great value too. One thing that I was very pleased to see is that this newly produced version by George Robinson is even better than my original Collector’s Workshop version. In fact, so far what I have seen George produce has always been as good and in most cases better than the original CW versions. Keep it up George!
This particuar effect is not only very cool to look at it is a truly wonderful effect. Another one on my highly recommended list, which is why I bought it twice!
