I first saw this trick on a shelf at the New England Mini Museum of Magic. After returning home, I immediately contacted Mel Babcock to see if it was still available. I now own a simply wonderful piece of magic. It is very simple to work while at the same time, blows your audience away. Get one, you will not be disappointed. The wood work, like all of Mel’s effects, is fantastic.

Super Farce Glass
I am very sorry I purchased this product. Each product description I read spoke of how versatile and easy to use the Super Force Glass is supposed to be. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. First of all, every handling included in the instructions requires you to hide the "powerful secret" at the time of selection by holding the glass around half of its circumference. No given handlings will allow you to offer the glass by holding the stem only (as one retailer is pictured holding it). When offering the glass for billet selection, you are required to either hold the glass at a slight distance from the spectator (so they don’t contact the "powerful secret" when reaching inside), or you actually have to dump some billets from the glass into your hand before you can offer the selection. A more difficult (and very angly) handling is given, which is supposedly better, but let’s just say that not only does the glass still have to be handled around half its circumference, but you will be tenkai palming before and after the force. Not quite "easy as pie" as another retailer stated. The elegance of offering a selection to a spectator from a clear glass is quite appealing. Unfortunately, the Super Force Glass requires suspicious and sometimes even noisy handling which destroys all hope of a natural, elegant performance. The instructions are poorly written. It is also very overpriced for what you receive. I hope this review saves someone some money.

Another Extremely well-made item!
Here’s another extremely well-made item of undetermined age/origin acquired by Ed from the Bert Adam’s Estate (Boston) in the late 1940’s to early 1950’s.
It is constructed of a very heavy dark wood that appears to be ebony. The two pieces are tightly held together as one by a firm tongue-in-groove assembly.
In this assembled condition the puzzle cannot be taken apart by the strongest of men (or women!). However, the Magician can separate it into two pieces at will without concealing it from view or adding or taking anything away, no magnets etc. .
After showing the pieces separated, the performer reassembles same and gives the "T" back to the audience participant to examine where they will find no clue as to how the separation was accomplished.
This is a nice heavy piece that "feels good" when you handle it. I wonder who the craftsman was that made this unique item?

He vanishes after being placed within the accompanying bag. (His head is visible until the last second before the vanish is completed.)
The method is that described in the classic texts. This little guy has a lot of character!

Move over Mr. Porper!
Good Bloody Night, these paddles are amazing! I’ve known for some time how talented Chance Wolf is with newer hi-tech materials. However I had no idea he is a true craftsman of the old ways too! This whole collection is amazing: from the beautiful box they are stored in, to the incredible individuality of each paddle, to the video demos that comes with the outfit.
Everything is a sheer delight. It is very hard to understand how this much talent, dedication and thought can be bought for so little in our world of highly inflated prices. These paddles are just an incredible deal.
What is more, Chance offers some great new ideas and moves in the easy to follow video. One of the best things about this whole set is that there are no moving parts on the paddles and everything is focused on ease of use with basically no re-set. Although the moves are simple, they create an incredible illusion, which just goes to show you the simplest magic is still the best.
I look forward to more min-magic offerings from Wolf’s Magic – the industry could certainly use the breath of fresh, magical air that is emanating from this incredibly talented company.

A Well Executed Masterpiece
Paddle Craft set #05 was delivered in perfect condition. I find the display case and contents to be very well executed. These are with out a doubt the finest paddles I own. I would also like to make positive comments about the performance / instructional CD. It was well done with a level of clarity that should have even a beginner up and running in no time.

Simply Gorgeous Paddle Set!!
I just received my two Wolf Paddles sets in the mail and they are proudly tucked away in my magic collection, next to a Gerlitz piece. First, for those who know of my magic collection, you know I am rather used to seeing great magic pieces, but Chance’s Paddle set simply blew me away.
It’s the most beautiful set of paddles I have ever seen. The case housing the six paddles is gorgeous. The walnut graining is striking and the laser engraving of the Wolf Paddle Craft logo artistically done. I like the way Chance arranged the paddles on the case to keep the case down to a "mini" size. As you open the case you see three paddles on the inside of the lid and three on the bottom case. First to be opened was No.1 (thanks, Chance, for the assignment) with an all Cocobolo wood set. The craftmanship is simply superb, so much better than I had expected based on the sneak photo on Chance’s site. Then came No.2, the mixed wood set. Again, the choice of woods and the craftsmanship absolutely amazing; loved the Australian Lace paddles, in particular.
Overall, I am one happy guy today. If Chance had asked for twice his asking price I would have hesitated (for a short while), but after seeing first hand the actual product, I would have instantly agreed to whatever price he asked. Hell, I would have handed him a blank signed check 😉
Later, I viewed the accompanying DVD (nothing better than Chance personally showing you the moves than trying to decipher written instructions) and the production is first class. I was so entertained just watching Chance demo the paddles at the beginning before going into the explanations. Very nice moves and innovations with such a classic prop, not to mention, again, Chance’s skills with woodworking. The big surprise came when the credits finished the video..I was quite flattered..thanks, Chance. I am glad you did release the sets and that I bought one of each. What’s next in the Wolf mini-magic line?
