Another Beauty from Magic Wagon!

I think what I like about these two latest items from Magic Wagon is that the props work so cleanly. Here is another item that is not only a very beautiful box, but it is also very smooth in operation.

You introduce a beautiful little box place it down on the table and ask the spectator to lift the lid. They see a folded piece of paper which you ask them to sign on the outside. This is your prediction. They replace it and put the lid back on. They then are given a deck of cards to shuffle and cut and when the box is opened the prediction matches perfectly.

The principle is not new, but the way this works is perfect. Reset is instant and you’ll be doing this within five minutes of reading the instructions.

Chance is back with his EconoMagic line …

What’s this? EconoMagic from Chance Wolf? Chance doesn’t know how to create cheap items – all of his magic is high quality and high entertainment. There are economies being made but not in the quality of the props. Maybe they are more stripped down then perhaps some of his other props. I don’t think anything is missing from the magic, but rather he sat down to create some magic with an eye to keeping the price low. To be fair these items are not cheap, but for Chance they are certainly cheaper than his other items and do represent great value!

This item is based upon Warren Stephens’ Balloon Tray (which of course Chance has already tackled once with his Jumbo Balloon Wand) and he has an interesting spin on the whole routine using a Pea Shooter (or blow dart for adults), which after the usual balloon going down, flying away and popping ends up in the Magician’s teeth. The routine is a great and there is an elegant simplicity and economy of movement that goes into each phase.

If you were wishing to buy some of Wolf’s Magic, but were unable to afford them before this new line should fit the bill perfectly – great magic for a great price!

Highly Recommended for magician’s everywhere!

A Classy Version of Kurtz’s Psycho Kinetic Dice!

In the late 1990’s Gary Kurtz produced a limited number of the wonderful Psycho Kinetic Dice. It was a great effect and one of those I wish I’d kept (we all have a few of those!). This new item from Magic Wagon works on basically the same principle but using amazing props and without the need to palm anything or for the magician to touch any of the props at any time.

The props really are beautiful and they work 100% of the time. The basic effect begins with a prediction being placed in full view of the audience and four beautiful teak boxes with brass accents all resting on a tiny tray. The tray is placed in front of the magician and four spectators are each asked to take one of the boxes. They look inside to find a small ivory die. They can examine the box and make sure that the die rolls a different number each time. They can shake it a few times in the box with the lid on to ensure that the number is different each time. Once they are ready they give the box one final good shake and place the closed box back on the tray. Once each spectator has done this one of the spectators is asked to remove each lid and read off the top number of each dice. The number formed is precisely the same number as the prediction that has been in full view from the start.

It doesn’t get any cleaner than this. Their are no electronics and nothing is added or taken away.

The only potential issue is the dice are small so your audience needs to be fairly close to see them.  It would have been nicer if they were a little larger.

This is really one of my favorite items from the Magic Wagon Collector line. Highly Recommended!

Small and PERFECT!

If you ever wanted to have a production of mini-knives at the end of your knife routine, you might have been disappointed in the past by your options. Well the disappointment ends here.

These knives by the Knife King Joe Mogar are tiny but they are fully functional real knives – they open and cut too! And of course they feel great.

Improved and now really the Best!

When George first introduced these I liked them, but found the flint too small. At some point in the last eight years he has changed the flint mechanism to be larger and much easier to work with. This is now easily the best fire wallet I have used. The leather is very luxurious and the fire section is securely held in a metal pocket which not only protects the wallet, but also keeps the lighter fluid from evaporating too quickly.

You can use it as a normal wallet, it looks perfect, and when you are ready to fire this baby up, just one strike on the generous and thumb friendly flint wheel and you are golden.

If you’re looking for a decent Fire Wallet, there is no better choice on the market today!

The Best Version of Box Office!

So my favorite effect by T.A. Waters is Box Office. There are plenty of versions of the trick around, and I’ve even made up a couple myself. This is one of the few that actually had permission from T.A. Waters to produce it. It is Tabman’s Chest of Destiny and it is the best version I have seen of this effect.

The box looks like a real antique aged box with cracks and all. It is the perfect height and size for the effect and everything works precisely as it should. The spectator gets to choose any one of the five casted relics and when the tray is lifted there is just one prediction, and it matches the choice of the spectator.

Lots of magic passes through my collection, but this one will be a keeper, it is a perfect miracle with props that look real and make sense!

Beautiful in its execution.

Wow, talk about an amazing utility device. This is by far my favorite card find of the decade. A bit like when you first come across a card box or a himber wallet, you start thinking of all these wonderful ideas.

I use Extractor for the cleanest signed card to wallet and I have never felt comfortable doing this before. It is lightning fast and defies explanation. I close my walk around performance with it now, and I’m immediately ready to go again.

Rob Bromley truly is a genius with cards.

You will find plenty of uses for this – buy two because these are made up by hand and who knows when they will stop making them. And how will you ever fool them again without the amazing Extractor?

Highly Recommended for all magicians who want to amaze their audience!

Wow! This is Amazing!

One of Stephen Tucker’s favorite effects is Omega – and now I know why: it is amazing! I have some of the other effects that are similar to Omega – (B’Wave, Twisted Sisters, Duplicity) and although Omega requires a sleight, it is so well covered and blended into the routine that it is easy to do. The effect is so much cleaner than the others and the cards can all be examined at the end. Reset is a snap too.

What I really like about Omega is that the effect is the same every time you perform it and they always get the ace they choose, no matter what ace is selected.

Highly Recommended for Close-up and Table Hopping magicians everywhere!

Beautiful and Different Bottles

Wow what a beautiful and unique set of multiplying bottles! These are amazing bottles and I’m glad I managed to track down a set. Reg Donnelly only makes a limited number each year, so grab them when you can.

The set also comes a DVD featuring two different performances by Reg Donnelly and Paul Romhany and this makes it the perfect package. I still like my other Martini ones, but must say it is hard to beat these bad boys.

Highly Recommended!
