Now I believe the hype on this craftsman

This is the first Taytelbaum item in my collection and it’s a great piece. Small black box houses three different colored dice. One die is simply tilted out, placed in the pocket, and the box clearly only shows two remaining dice. Box is closed and slightly shaken to demonstrate that there are still the dice loose inside. Magic words, box is opened and the die has returned to the box. The method is quite diabolical and automatic in execution. No palming and no fancy moves. I would never have guessed it…what a clever mind!

Constructed of some plastic material, standard material for Eddy, doesn’t detract from the quality of this item. I had previously commented that Eddy’s stuff was probably just "fancy Tenyo" stuff. Well, I must apologize and retract those words. This particular item is definitely on a different level of craftsmanship. I love it so much that it now resides with my beloved Warner collection. I first heard of Eddy Taytelbaum when I became interested in Alan Warner. Eddy was actually the inspiration for Alan to develop his line of Mini-Magic.

It’s just too bad that quality like this is rare.

Sometimes you can sell too much!

Most magicians I have known have, at one time or another, sold a prop that they never used only to really regret it later. Dean’s Box is one of those for me.

I don’t really know why I sold it, but I’m glad to have purchased a new one. Interestingly enough, the cloth has changed color from red to black since the first time I purchased this effect.

This is a beatifully made box with a really wonderful series of three effects with some rope and a ring. It is easy to do, though it takes some handling practice.

Highly recommended, and this time I won’t sell it!

What can you say! Simply Amazing!

I’m not going to fool anyone if I say I have read the whole of this book – it is huge and heavy. However, it holds nearly all of the known published miracles of Ted Annemann and it is a book that I am very eager to read from cover to cover.

Ted Annemann was one of the real heavyweights in magic thought and creation, and its hard to imagine anyone not getting a truck load of wonderful ideas from this book.

I know this doesn’t do justice to the man or the book, so buy it yourself and post a review for us all to read! Beautifully produced and Highly recommended!

Bandanna Drives ‘Em Bannanas!

Howard Hale has really made this a dynamite hit for virtually ANY performer! The bag you get is first rate, and the cassette tape is professionally recorded. Stick in the cassette either on stage or off, and just "go with the flow…". The Acme Magic company will "teach you a trick", and you just follow along. Your audience will laugh over and over again! Highly recommended if you want great fun, lots of laughs, and NOT a lot of work!

Note: You will need a real bannana each performance. Be sure to throw it out after each show!

Great prop for forcing a color

Want to force a particular color and do it with CLASS? Look no further than this beautiful prop from Alan. I will give this one a 5 because the workmanship and operation is so good. I like the idea of using Card Case 20 with this prop for a really mind-blowing effect. Love it!

What a routine!!

This is one entertaining piece of magic you can not miss. I have seen numerous special mention to this item from Alan in the magic forums whenever his name comes up for discussion and after finally getting it for my collection, I can see the reason for the enthusiasm. It has the best of both worlds…great teak apparatus and an involved lengthy routine that entertains. A whole show in itself!!

The "Ultimate" card case?

This case is truly marvelous…THREE changes and not a single sweat to perform. The workmanship is, of course, impeccable. Alan picks teak with beautiful grain patterns for these pieces since the case is "large" and easily showcases this gorgeous wood. The accompanying instructions provide 20 ideas for the card case, so it has so many possibilities. I bought Colourama specifically for this case: the two pieces complement each other in one sure-fire routine.

One Very Special Box…Thanks, Alan

Alan celebrated the new millennium and the year 2000 by issuing this limited edition boxed collection. It consists of 8 effects housed in a gorgeously done mahogany veneered hinged box. This item was limited to only 12 sets and each accompanied by a signed certificate. The effects vary from simple classics to very nice originals that can stand up to Alan’s more formidable pieces. I particularly like Geometric, Kubika, and Candle Candle. This beautiful collection would be the envy of any magic set collector. Forget Mysto and other "collectible" magic sets, this is more reminiscent of those antique wooden magic sets of the past, all handcrafted with meticulous attention to esthetics and function. You really need to see this set firsthand to really appreciate the workmanship, as images are clearly inadequate.

Alan has always proved himself a master craftsman and inventor, but he is also a most generous man. I will particularly cherish the Millennium Box I received because what started as an honest mistake led to a remarkable gesture from Alan. 2 weeks ago, an inquiry regarding 2 effects in this collection led us to believe that No. 12, the last box in the series, was still available. I ended up paying for what was eventually unraveled to be a sold-out series. However, Alan, in the kindness of his heart, promptly offered me his own box, No. 1, from his personal collection of his magic. I was quite taken by such a gesture and I can’t thank Alan enough. This unique piece will definitely hold a special place in my Warner collection.
