As a close-up Magician and Card Manipulator I find this Master Edition as the best in the Industry. There is NO comparison as to the high quality, and endurance of these magnificent cards. They are trully exceptional and the feel is completely different than others. Once you try this deck you will never use other brands!!!

Okito box magic with class!

This heavy, finest bronze coin box is a real beauty to hold. Clearly the best coin box I have ever owned. It has nice rounded edges that look identical whether the box is upright or inverted with the lid in place. I find this more deceptive than the standard straight edge coin boxes on the market. As seen in the last image, the lid is stamped with the Lassen name for authenticity.

The box came with the new "miracle enjoyment" chinese coins Todd has recently released. These are copper, dollar sized, coins custom made for Todd and he has "aged" the copper nicely. These are a real beauty and matched precisely to fit in this coin box. I asked him to make me a shell for the coins which you can see as the fifth coin on the right in the second image. Though the shell will not fit into the box, it does allow me to do the many shell coin routines with these coins, when one may not want to perform another coin box effect.

Truly, another Lassen great and a great addition to my Lassen collection….thanks, Todd!

The Dutchman’s Dominoes

I always take my time unwrapping anything from Francois, this was no exception Its like time travel to Nautical Times where some crusty sea captain entertained his guests with the Dutchman’s Dominoes, a whimsical and Mysterious effect with ebony dominoes, exquisite in its detail. Bravo Francois!

Another Winner!

Well, here’s another winner from Francois Danis! It’s quite a beautiful piece… especially with the inlayed woodwork and the mother of pearl domino spots! I’ve never had or seen a Taytelbaum piece… but I would say that the workmanship is very close to it. I love the effect… and the routines Mr. Danis writes are quite good. I love this piece!

Wow! Still more Amazing Magic from France!

Francois Danis has treated us to some beautiful new magic with his two latest releases. This second one, Dominoes Transposition, is a beautiful version of the old Dizzy Dominoes effect.

The little box that contains the dominoes is amazing – it is made of Mahogany with a wooden inlay pattern in the lid and lined with red felt to protect the dominoes. The dominoes are made of ebony with mother of pearl dots. And they really are beautiful.

Francois details his own routine but you could easily do your favorite Dizzy Dominoes moves. The basic effect has the dominoes moving around and even back and forth to the pocket or switching places in a spectators hands. And of course in the end everything can be examined.

This is my favorite of the two new effects, but they are both beautiful for sure.

Highly Recommended for Collectors and Performers with style everywhere!

Beautiful Collectable Magic

It’s always exciting to get a new piece from the amazing French craftsman Francois Danis. I have just received his two latest items both using Dominoes. This first one, The Dutchman’s Dominoes, has a very striking red and black box with gold trim and lined with red felt to protect the solid walnut dominoes within.

The finish and preciseness of these props is perfect. Francois has come a very long way from some of the early props he was making. The effect is a clean prediction of any of the dominoes. The dominoes are gimmicked and can be used either to force a specific domino (4) or with a simple ruse show that you predicted a different domino. They can choose any of the 6. The props are versatile enough it seems you could use them in a number of ways and due to the number of dominoes there are obvious tie-ins with dice.

This is a small enough prop with no real reset that you could even use it for walk around. It does come with an interesting patter story, as does all of Francois’ magic, but I’m not sure it would fit my style.

I would give this 4 stars for routine and mechanics, but 5+ stars for the craftsmanship. It is just a beautiful outfit.

Highly Recommended for Collectors everywhere!
