Review by Andy Martin for Unique Gravity Box by Doug Malloy, Norm Nielsen
5 out of 5
This is easily the most beautiful Light and Heavy Chest I have seen and Norm only made one of them! Norm Nielsen took Doug Malloy’s beautiful Gravity Box and decorated it so beautifully you’ll just want to hold it and stare. This works like a dream too. Particularly if you use one of Gimpy’s Light Heavy Performance Mats.
Review by Andy Martin for Quarter Thru Matches by Hayakawa Magic
5 out of 5
This is a beautifully made item and a very clean, convincing and simple penetration. This effect is easy to do and made in high quality plastic, similar to the beautiful items created by the master himself: Eddy Taytelbaum. You rarely see this sort of quality work these days.
Highly recommended for lovers of fine close-up magic.
Review by Andy Martin for Banner Nest of Boxes by Illusion Arts Magic
5 out of 5
The Banner Nest of Boxes is not your standard nest of boxes effect and this beautiful set from Illusion Arts Magic is no exception. Instead of simply vanishing an item and finding it nested in the smallest box with the Banner Nest of Boxes you introduce the boxes and take out the smallest box and place the item (it could be a Dove or any other valuable object) inside. You place the smallest box on a tray (supplied) and rebox the two larger boxes and hand them to the spectator. Everyone can see the small box on the tray, and you cover it up with a large foulard, lift the foulard up into the air, and with a big display the box appears to disappear in mid-air and the foulard can be shown on both sides with no sign of the little box. Now the Spectator can open the boxes again, with no prompting or moves from the magician, and they find that the smallest box has appeared back inside the nest and contains the object.
This is a wonderful illusion, made beautifully by Craig Beytien and comes with everything you need to perform.
Review by Andy Martin for Card Punch (Steel Ball) by 3D Magic Works

So Kent is clearly taking his business very seriously. Not only is he continuing to create amazing magic he is now providing video demos and instructions for his items so you get printed instructions, which are already way more detailed than most, and online video instructions too. I only wish all magic creators took this much time with their items.
This clever beauty is a novel effect, inspired by an old Werry item, which is easy to learn and perform and yet looks quite amazing. It comes in a Die version too and although both items work the same way, most collector’s are going to want to snap up one of each. As usual Kent provides a useful stand so this looks great in your collection when you are not performing it.

Kent always takes the effort to go the extra mile.
Review by Andy Martin for Ribbon Ruse by 3D Magic Works
5 out of 5
So another clever and self-working item from the amazingly detailed and inventive Kent Bergmann. This item is easy to do and works smoothly with no tricky moves. The video presentation shows you all you need to see. The video, by Madison Hagler, who has a great youtube channel called Presenting Tenyo, cracks me up when he says “something begins to emerge, like a butterfly from a cocoon!”
These videos, and their explanations, are a great addition to an already perfect offering from Kent. Rarely do magic creators provide quality printed instructions and consistent demonstrations and explanations online and I hope more dealers are watching Kent and raise their game in response. Some people learn better from print and others need the videos. Providing both is perfection.
Review by Andy Martin for Elevator Dice by Eddy Taytelbaum
5 out of 5
What an absolutely stunning version of this popular effect. Holding Eddy’s props in your hands is already magical enough, but when you watch Dominique Duvivier’s incredible performance (from the 3 DVD set Intimiste) it really inspires you to raise your game.
Everything about this beautiful prop screams quality. The finish and weight of the dice are perfect. I plan on keeping this and hope to do justice it to both Eddy and Dominique one day soon.
This is the sort of magic that makes collecting so worthwhile and addictive!
Review by Andy Martin for Mystery of Three Boxes by Michael Baker
5 out of 5
Another stunner from the talented craftsman Michael Baker. There are not many craftsmen left who make classic magic apparatus with this much color, consistency, attention to detail, and high quality. And to top it off all of Michael’s magic is quite affordable, particularly when you look at the amount of work involved to make each piece.
What I also like about Michael’s work is that he was a performer for 35 years so he has a vast knowledge of what works in the real world. When he switched gears to start building and selling props he took all of that knowledge and uses it when he creates items as though he building for himself.
There are some interesting subtitles with this set which to the untrained eye are not really noticeable until you point them out, and they all have the impact of selling the illusion. I won’t describe them here, but almost one page of the directions is dedicated to these key features making it all the more effective when performed.
Review by Andy Martin for Roydon's Double Box Prediction by Limited Edition Magic
5 out of 5
What a beauty this is – one of the best items released by the dynamic duo: Joe Long + Paul Lembo. I’ve already seen some of these go for more than the issue price and I’m sure they will become more sought after over the years. This is one of the most practical and surefire methods for the classic locked box prediction. It does not use any loaded keys, shooting papers, electronics or any tricky moving parts that could go wrong during the performance. A really clever design and routine make for one of the most impressive predictions.
Really excellent version of this ultra rare classic. Great job guys!
Review by Andy Martin for Deluxe Mini Cube-a-Libre (2018) #2 of 12 by Thomas Pohle
5 out of 5
When the amazing Thomas Pohle created his mini cube-a-libre in 2016 I didn’t think it was possible to create a better version. And yet Thomas has done just that with this stunning deluxe version.
Everything looks and feels better, and works smoother. There really is not a better version of this classic effect and there are only 12 of these in existence.
Highly Recommended for Collectors of Beautiful Magic Everywhere.
