Review by Andy Martin for Samurai Sword Penetration by George Murray, Nielsen Magic
5 out of 5
A sword is pushed through the center of a tube and a solid ball is dropped in and then found to be threaded directly on the sword. Long unavailable this beautiful, rare and unusual prop includes a precision made gimmick that makes the magic happen.
Review by Andy Martin for Chained Release 7 by Ted Bogusta
5 out of 5
Another unique item from Ted Bogusta. A silver and a gold coin are shown, one instantly changes into a chain necklace. Your hands are shown empty with nothing added or taken away.
Review by Andy Martin for Perfect Laser Pendulum x 2 by Christopher Taylor
5 out of 5
The Perfect Laser Pendulum allows you to take a classic tool used by mentalists and magicians for hundreds of years to the next level, allowing you to use your favorite pendulum routines to the stage or grab attention from across the room by making your routines more visible.
If you’ve never used a pendulum before you’re probably thinking this is not for me. But when you just start playing with one you quickly realize it IS for you. The addition of the laser takes this to a whole new level. Not only is it much easier to see, but it is just more fun. It also comes with a 32 page e-book filled with all sorts of clever ideas. This is certainly a winner from Taylor Imagineering!
Review by Daniel D for ESP Miracle (ESP-Mirakel) by Magiro, Howard Schwarzman
5 out of 5
This was invented by Matthias “Magiro” Weißl, not Lubor Fiedler as some have suggested. Werner “Werry” Geissler built the original prototype. This later version was imported by Howard Schwarzman.
The spectator places the pentagon in the stand and merely thinks of their symbol. Then it is placed back into the case and given to the magician. The performer instantly knows the selection. Everything is examinable, it’s literally that clean and brilliant.
Review by Andy Martin for Chinka Chink by Eddy Taytelbaum
5 out of 5
I’ve only owned a few Eddy Taytelbaum items but there is no doubt this Chinka-Chink set is easily the finest available. What a beauty it is to behold and after Eddy’s Mummy this is my favorite Taytelbaum effect that I own. The bright colors and smooth edges just make for a beautiful presentation.
What a clever idea this is from the always ingenious Martin Lewis. There was a small run of fifty of these handmade by Martin himself and now they are very hard to find.
The board has an ingenious mechanical secret which you will love. It is entirely self contained. Any symbol maybe selected. Both hands may be in view during the action. Great, innocent looking board, just 3/4-in. thick. Ideal for psychics, mentalists, magicians.
Review by Andy Martin for Die Tunnel (Mini) by Mel Babcock
5 out of 5
Mel Babcock continues to amaze me! At 84 he is working in his workshop almost every day producing miracles to the keep the few remaining Magic collectors around the world delighted and full of magic. This little guy is a pocket size version of his bigger Die Tunnel and looks beautiful and works cleanly. I love the use of Casino die too as so often smaller cheaper dies are used, but this one enhances the Cocobolo wood perfectly. Great Job Mel! I’m looking forward to seeing more beauties from Mel for many years to come!
Review by Andy Martin for Ringmaster Coins (Silver Morgan) by Ted Bogusta
5 out of 5
I can’t seem to stop buying these cool coins that Ted Bogusta keeps producing and when Meir Yedid routines them you can be sure of a quality magic experience! You show two rare coins. A silver Morgan Dollar and a $20 gold coin. Once you show the coins there are many ways to proceed depending on your preferences but the basic effect is of the gold coin changing into a gold ring. The coin set is versatile so you can make the change from visual to a more mysterious one.
Review by Andy Martin for Improved Vanishing Card Box by Mel Babcock
5 out of 5
What a beauty this is from the young Mel Babcock, a mere slip of a lad at 84! These are hot off the press and it is easily my favorite vanishing deck effect. Better than the Robert Jackson one it was based upon and the Bob Kline/Woodmagic Studio CBI.
Not only is the method perfect the box looks amazing!
