Outstanding!

I love Dean Dill’s magic, and this latest creation is really incredible! His methods are so clever and diabolical. (I have his "Blizzard" card trick and "Dean’s Box", and they are great, too!) The reviews from other magicians are nothing short of fantastic. This effect is so much fun to perform, and it really is astounding to your audience. Dean’s construction and routining of this effect are great…top notch quality and a performer’s dream! The props are very ordinary looking, a 3-ring binder, yellow pad, and an ordinary looking envelope like you’d get at any office supply store. Dean’s instructions are very detailed and well thought out, and he gives you every move and the thinking behind each one.

The effect consists of introducing an ordinary envelope and placing in front of the audience. The the magician/mentalist calls on a spectator to draw a picture of his/her favorite card on a yellow pad and sign their name on the picture. Then the envelope that has been in full view of the audience is opened by the spectator and inside is the folded card the spectator just drew.

This is a performer’s delight. I highly recommend it. Dean is such a wonderful guy, and his magic is as well.

I do love the Color Changing Knives, and I have long cherished my Jimmy Sanders 3 Knife Set of black stag and white pearl. I am happy to say that as beautiful and fun to use as the Sanders set is, I find Joe Mogar’s set of turquoise and red jigged bone knives outstanding to perform and more beautiful to look at as well! I would have a set of Joe’s knives in every color Joe could make if I could afford it. Suffice it to say that these are all I’ll ever need.

If you like the Color Changing Knives, get this set or a custom made set from Joe with your own preference for colors added to make it unique for you. If you don’t do Color Changing Knives, you should add it to your repertoire. These knives are great to carry around and do impromptu or part of your act. Check them out. You will NOT be disappointed.

The Denver Money Maker is a beautiful piece of workmanship from Owen Magic. The brass mechanics of a printing press mounted on a a walnut base makes a gorgeous piece of magic apparatus to display in your home or office. The Money Maker effect has long been around, and the Denver Mint Money Maker is one of my favorite display pieces. A nice piece of magic using blank paper to "print" money before your eyes as the blank paper goes through the "printing press".

If you are a collector and would like to have a unique and beautiful piece of magic to grace your office or home, then get this.

A Winner!

This is one of my all time favorite tricks to perform. Dean Dill has produced a beautiful box that enables you to perform seemingly impossible miracles with two ropes that link under seemingly impossible conditions. This fools magicians. The working of the ropes linking inside the box is so diabolical and clever that you love performing this routine that Dean demonstrates on his instructional DVD. The box is beautifully made, and I recommend it highly.

Dean Dill is one of my favorite magicians, and he is as creative and clever as he is a genuinely nice guy.

Beautiful!

The Chink-A-Chink has always been a favorite effect of mine, and I have a couple of other sets in my collection. This is a beautiful, precision made set by James Riser that is made to look like weights for a scale; hence, it fits perfectly with a story set in the Gold Rush days of the 1890s. The weights are perfectly made and balanced, and the shell is virtually indetectable because of Mr. Riser’s design. The shell fits perfectly and easily on any of the weights, and the brass shell is very sturdy so that it won’t be easy to dent. The accompanying DVD shows a couple of different performances and gives excellent instructions for performing this classic effect.

I highly recommend this if you like this effect and would like to learn it. The brass weights are beautiful, and you will enjoy performing them and working up your own story to suit your tastes and style.

Really Cool

Richard Sanders is a prolific and creative magician who has released some outstanding effects in recent months. This one is really fun to perform and is a mind boggler to the spectator. Bills instantly change denominations right before the spectators’ eyes; the performer counts the bills fairly to show them as being ordinary.

Richard is a great teacher and he goes to great lengths in his DVD instructions to explain each detail of making the bills and then covers several routines to perform, going through every move and detail. Making the bills is no big deal, and is a one-time deal. Then you’re ready for performing without any big setup.

I highly recommend it if you like money magic and like to carry magic with you to perform on a moment’s notice. Great for performing at the bar or on the street or a night out with friend. They’ll remember you with this one.
