Review by Marc Rehula for Simon Says by Simon Lovell

. . . Buy This Book!
Simon Says contains excellent material designed to be performed. (That may elicit a Duh, but in my experience most books are designed for magicians, not audiences!) Some are easy and some are intermediate, but they all are direct, and Simon’s writing style is very humorous. Highly recommended.

Quarte
Wow, this is amazing mentalism. I has lucky enough to get it from Mendoza on ebay the other week. The props are nice and the method is simplicity itself. The presentation is novel as well, using the story line of a horse race along with the cards. You are loading your prediction right in front of your audiance. They never know what hit them.

perfection
This gem from Jerry, is the perfect tool for any working mentalist. It’s secret is so well hidden, it can be done in the hands of the spectator if required.
What i like about this also, is that you can treat the prop quite roughly during performance, with no fear of the gimmick exposing it’s self. If you only buy one add a number, make sure that its this one
I have been intrigued by this effect for sometime now and I’m glad I finally have a copy. Wow, this is a very clever idea. The props are very well made and the method allows for an incredibly clean prediction.
It could be used to predict almost any 1, 2, 3, or 4 digit number, but I really like the horse race presentation that is featured in the instructions. When the magic is this strong, having it happen in an entertaining fashion is a plus. As opposed to having an entertaining routine where the magic is just so-so.
The method is easy to learn and do, and I will certainly be featuring this effect in my next big show.

Back again!
I sold this to a friend five years ago. At the time I was performing bigger shows with lots of props. But now this method and version of Casino Royale really appeals to me. Lucikly I was able to buy it back from my friend just last week!
The effect is very similar to the larger version, but the method is slightly different. And of course it uses a lot less props and is more suitable for smaller gatherings.
The only thing I did not like about this was that the chips it comes with are cheap red plastic and they don’t look like real poker chips. Luckily I had some other chips lying around and so I have switched them and now the effect is perfect.
The bills are laminated too, so they will last a lifetime of performances.
I still think Casino Royale is a wonderful triple prediction, but if you are short of space or are doing this really close-up then Casino Light is the way to go!

Beautiful and Different Boxes
One of the problems I have with some of the fine nest of boxes out there is that they look like something that just Magician’s would own. Well these boxes look like something from World Market – in fact I have a domino box that I actually bought from World Market that has the same design (sadly I could not find these boxes at World Market!).
So now you can do a wonderful version of the Nest of Boxes, using boxes that really could have been bought from a real store. This makes it all the more mystifying.
These boxes really are wondeful looking, and they work like a dream. They are also very well priced based on the prices that other sets of boxes seem to be fetching.
I must say how impressed I have been with the quality of the new Oriental line from Fantasma Magic – they may be known for their beginner’s line of magic, but these new items are a joy to behold and suited to the most demanding of professionals.
Review by Andy Martin for Large Plus Wallet – New JOL by Jerry O'Connell

Even better than before!
Ok so I’ve been a huge fan of Jerry’s work for about a year now, when I bought my first Jerry O’Connell wallet. Before this new line came out I owned nearly all of the wallets Jerry was making and I could not be happier with them. They are perfect. So along comes this new line, at a lower price, and dare I say it the quality is the same if not better.
This new Plus Wallet really is better than the old perfect Plus Wallet. Wiith the addition of the Wonder Unit and the ID Case, this really is the best wallet you can buy, and the price is amazing.
Along with this wallet comes a newly made DVD featuring close friend of Jerry O’Connell: Craig Dickson. it is a very useful DVD with lots of ideas and tips on the use of the Plus Wallet.
All in all this really is the best wallet package available anywhere at any price. At this price you’d be crazy not to purchase it.

Clever and very Versatile
This is a wonderful new utility device for making the spectator’s card appear in a very magical way.
What is particularly cool about it is that it can be done without any clue to how it is possible. When I first received it – without reading the instructions of course – I didn’t realise that the gimmick could be hidden. Once you understand that, then you really can go to town. There is no switching or additions and it all happens very cleanly in front of the spectator. There is no reset either, it is automatic.
With the large 24 page booklet that comes with this gimmick there are plenty of ideas to put you on the road to glory.
