This is a real WINNER from Mel!

This is a very visual and dramatic piece of magic from that wonderful wood craftsman in Washington state. The method is clever and the workmanship impeccable. Mel’s keen choice of exotic woods makes this and, I assume, his other “bigger” items stand out uniquely. Mel used in my copy of this item a light beautifully “flamed” Canary Wood…gorgeous! What great eye appeal. I would have bought it just to look at the wood. Most highly recommended.

Move over Owen, Mel Babcock is here

Is is possible to find magic equal, actually I believe better, than comparable pieces from Owen’s Magic at real bargain prices? Turn your attention to Cashmere, WA…the home of Mel Babcock. This is one beautiful set of boxes. And you can do some great magic too. Mel’s use of exotic woods is to be commended. My set was made with Sapele, Peroba Rosa, Walnut (the most beautifully grained walnut I have ever seen), Lacewood, and in the smallest box, Jatoba. The interior red lining of each box, superb! The method is devilish and very easily workable. Simply, WOW!

Switch or Scam, your choice

While the method behind the switch is somewhat clever, it is highly overpriced, many places, selling for $30. This is ridiculous for what the unit is. If you really are uncomfortable with switching a deck another way, here’s a way to do it right in front of the spect. In my opinion, save your money and use an organized pocket

Useful gimmick has potential

The main gimmick in this effect is very useful tool for the card performer. It can be used in many different tricks and can produce some nice results. Find out what any chosen card is without marks of any kind and keep the second part of trick (end revalation) as a back-up to a card trick gone wrong. If you own the trick, you know what I mean. All in all, if you don’t use the trick as sold, you will be able to use pieces of it individually for your own devised effects.

Hello Andy.. What a delight to visit your site on rainy or snowy days. It always perks me up. Besides your great collection of Magic..the true magic is your wonderful “British” accent and the entertainment value you put into your video’s. You communicate very well with your audience and try hard to bring entertainment value into your act. I have watched them all and never do I see you come near a battle of wits with your audience. You appear to be their friend and want to entertain them. Thanks….for your wonderful site, I have increased my knowledge of magic and props much. Keep up the great work.

Who needs a Money Maker when you have this!

I’ve always liked the idea behind the Money Maker, Denver Mint, and all the money printing variations. But wouldn’t it be nice to sometimes print something different. This Preston Printer is large enough for silks, legal documents, predictions, and almost any small piece of paper or silk you can think of. It has 7 feet of roller space so you could easily do 2 or 3 changes.

It looks solid, more like a real printing press, rather than a toy. Well made and lots of potential for the performer!

Was I am impressed!

This may appear a simple effect but once you own one and know it’s method, your’re in for a surprise. The method, though “standard” is beautifully disguised in this piece and it will leave those in the “know” scratching their heads. The operation is simple and practically automatic. The workmanship is, without saying, superb.
