The Best Version of Box Office!

So my favorite effect by T.A. Waters is Box Office. There are plenty of versions of the trick around, and I’ve even made up a couple myself. This is one of the few that actually had permission from T.A. Waters to produce it. It is Tabman’s Chest of Destiny and it is the best version I have seen of this effect.

The box looks like a real antique aged box with cracks and all. It is the perfect height and size for the effect and everything works precisely as it should. The spectator gets to choose any one of the five casted relics and when the tray is lifted there is just one prediction, and it matches the choice of the spectator.

Lots of magic passes through my collection, but this one will be a keeper, it is a perfect miracle with props that look real and make sense!

Beautiful in its execution.

Wow, talk about an amazing utility device. This is by far my favorite card find of the decade. A bit like when you first come across a card box or a himber wallet, you start thinking of all these wonderful ideas.

I use Extractor for the cleanest signed card to wallet and I have never felt comfortable doing this before. It is lightning fast and defies explanation. I close my walk around performance with it now, and I’m immediately ready to go again.

Rob Bromley truly is a genius with cards.

You will find plenty of uses for this – buy two because these are made up by hand and who knows when they will stop making them. And how will you ever fool them again without the amazing Extractor?

Highly Recommended for all magicians who want to amaze their audience!

I’ve wasted years!

To my mind, there is no better card gimmick for sale –

I perfected my various palms over many years and then this ruddy box does it all without any skill.

The possibilities are endless – its a very good idea that has been realized perfectly – the DVD is of good length and quality too.

Wow! This is Amazing!

One of Stephen Tucker’s favorite effects is Omega – and now I know why: it is amazing! I have some of the other effects that are similar to Omega – (B’Wave, Twisted Sisters, Duplicity) and although Omega requires a sleight, it is so well covered and blended into the routine that it is easy to do. The effect is so much cleaner than the others and the cards can all be examined at the end. Reset is a snap too.

What I really like about Omega is that the effect is the same every time you perform it and they always get the ace they choose, no matter what ace is selected.

Highly Recommended for Close-up and Table Hopping magicians everywhere!

One very nice set of chink-a-chink, indeed!

This is a classic effect that has piqued my interest for years. I own the Tony Van Rhee set among others, but this new solid brush brass weight set by Jim Riser is simply amazing. The team of Jim Riser and Whit Haydn has come up with a remarkable set of chink-a-chink that brings both beautiful craftsmanship and ease of performance to this effect. I am not kidding…the moves with this well designed set just seems so smoother and easier than any I have worked in the past.

The shell is very sturdy and subtle. It will fit perfectly on any of the four solid pieces in the set…no more fumbling for the right one. Again, the size, look, and weight makes for easy grasp and the addtion of the weight measure at the top of each piece, including the shell, is fantastic for the storyline. The shell, alone, can be seen in the first image at the forefront and a shelled piece stands to the left of a regular piece in the second image.

The DVD is well shot and the routine clearly explained. The storyline about the Chinese weights and the Old West con men is a great patter for the set. The DVD concludes with a even more fascinating routine by Ed Parrish. Overall, a lovely set and well recommended.

Stephen has a new DVD out on this effect and it is well worth the price – I really love this effect!

Beautiful and Different Bottles

Wow what a beautiful and unique set of multiplying bottles! These are amazing bottles and I’m glad I managed to track down a set. Reg Donnelly only makes a limited number each year, so grab them when you can.

The set also comes a DVD featuring two different performances by Reg Donnelly and Paul Romhany and this makes it the perfect package. I still like my other Martini ones, but must say it is hard to beat these bad boys.

Highly Recommended!

More Knife Magic from Joe Mogar!

It’s hard to stop buying Joe’s Knives! Each set of his knives is a pleasure to hold and these multi-colored wood and natural bone ones are no exception. Maybe my favorite in fact. These are tricky to make and no two knives are exactly the same. Master Craftsman Joe Mogar does a great job in matching them up and although you might see slight differences when placed side by side, you’ll never notice that in performance.

Joe’s knives are perfect to perform and collect. They are unique, beautiful, small and great value!
