And the magic keeps on coming! This is a great looking effect based on an clever idea from Al Wheatley (Chop Cup) idea that I’ve seen from Chuck Caputo and Louis Gaynor and I’m sure others. What is neat about this version is the size of the props make it practical for all performance styles – very solid, light and compact.

What a pretty looking and clever effect this is. The props can be minutely examined and there appears to be no way you could know what is inside the small Eye of Horus box, but you know every time just like Horus, with no external gimmicks either!

Wow, the more I open up these effects the more impressed I become. What you have to remember is that in about six months Kent has gone from zero to over twenty effects. He may have spent a lifetime working on these, but within a very short period of time he has made them real. I can’t name one other manufacturer who has done the same. This is a very clever item with a very clean vanish of a domino from inside a small box back to the larger box. Great looking props – one of Kent’s biggest items – but still very easy to do. This is a real winner for sure!

I love this compact mentalism item based on Wayne Dobson’s Spot On but to my mind this is a more practical and certainly better looking approach. You have to hold this box to see how tight the tolerances are, it is barely larger than a match box and yet nothing rattles when you shake it. A really clean prediction. This is one you’ll throw in your pocket and wow them for sure. Keep them coming Kent!

My new favorite craftsman, Brian Cook, likes see-thru things and why not – you get to see more and the mystery is enhanced. The secret of creating transparent props of course is to ensure they still look amazing and Brian has that well under control.

I really love this hand crafted, clear card box made from acrylic and fine Central American Bocote wood. It easily handles poker sized decks and a little larger too. Very clean and silent action with locking mechanism so once the switch is made you’re clean and the spectator can open the box. It even holds a full deck including the card case which always makes sense. Highly Recommended if you want some extra mystery in your beautiful magic! (BTW, use your own deck of course.)

Howard Hale and his Woodmagic Studio were only around for a few years in the late 90’s but they made some really beautiful magic, my favorite being of course his amazing Comedy Table Legs. So Brian Cook wanted to create a clear version of the classic Diebox and in the process created a vastly improved effect that will even fool those who know the normal version. In this limited edition of only 25 units beautifully crafted in Central American Bocote wood there is no slider mechanism hidden in the base. Instead the die itself can be seen to slide back and forth right before their eyes before it vanishes!

Brian is serious about protecting his most treasured items and this bad boy comes in a space age custom packing case that could probably withstand a minor bomb blast without the contents getting damaged!

If you’ve grown tired of all of the other die boxes this will be a refreshing change and you’ll even amaze the boys down the club … where the heck did the die go? Highly Recommended for Collectors and Performers everywhere.

This is a perfect version of a remote controlled rising cards put out in limited quantities by the talented Marc Antoine – a lot of micro electronics goes into making one of these bad boys which is has a significantly smaller block than the Optimum Rising Cards by Taiwan Ben.

It uses about 23 cards for the block, which leaves plenty to work with.Amazingly my trusty Devano from George Richbark still rolls in at around 15 cards for the block so is still smaller but if you look at how much electronics is jammed into this you’d appreciate the difficulties of getting it smaller. If you need a remote controlled Rising Cards for regular cards, this is certainly the deck to get.

So this beautiful item is the first effect I have purchased from the talented craftsman Brian Cook. Amazingly I did not feature any of Brian’s work on my site before this and I will be rectifying that with more items shortly. This is easily the best version of the classic effect Rice, Vase, and Checkers that has been created by a number of vendors over the years including Owens. It also was built around the entertaining routine by Master Payne involving the Tale of the Twisty Pole – which makes way more sense than the old orange, rice, and checkers!

Not only does this item look amazing it is all very solidly and perfectly crafted. It comes with a full set of lecture notes from Master Payne which includes many more routines, a sturdy carrying case to protect the items and this is #11 of just 12 produced in total.

Brian goes under the name Magic Crafter and it is a very apt name for a man of Brian’s skills. I look forward to featuring more of Brian’s items on my site soon and I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I do. Highly Recommended for collector’s and performers who love beautiful magic.

This is a real beauty from Kent, and I can imagine one that gets a lot of use by walk-around performers. If you are familiar with Alan Warner’s wonderful work you would be forgiven for thinking that this effect was the same as Alan’s Confus’n Cubes. You’d be very wrong. Not only is the method very different, the routine is even more amazing, and yet it is still very easy to do.

There is already a great routine put up on YouTube and I think you will really enjoy this item. My favorite so far!
