Excellent Comedy with Prediciton
I use the close up version of the Comedy Card Babies at restaurants and clubs. I get a great response every time I use this! Great job Dave Devin! Dean Dill’s endorsement of "You’ve got a winner" says it all!
Review by George Guerra for ABC Blocks (Mini) by Mel Babcock

Great Mini-magic, Babcock style
It just great that Mel offers some of his magic in various sizes to please one’s taste. Since my interest in the mini-magic of Alan Warner began, I have looked at other builders for these little cuties. I have been fortunate to get three from Mel in mini size with the Mini ABC Blocks being a real treat. Using exotic woods, combined with a reputation for both wood and metal working skills, Mel sure delivers and he, particularly, did a flawless job on all my mini sized pieces.
Mel used a highly grained and beautiful Bocote wood on my ABC Blocks and the workmanship is superb. If you get his "Ultimate ABC", as I did, you also get the matching open box to have the middle block visibly and instantly reappear to complete the routine. The appearance of that "B" block is startling to see. The effect is a classic and you have a choice from his "Giant" with 4 inch blocks to the "Mini" with the 1 1/4 inch blocks…Most Highly Recommended!
Review by George Guerra for Hong Kong Paddle by Willi Wessel

Schwarzman’s paddle treat…a lucky find!
I love paddles and this one is a prized one. Beautifully crafted and imported by Howard Schwarzman in the late 1980’s (instruction copyright is dated 1988). The seller told me that Howard had informed him only a half dozen were sold, so it seems it is also quite rare. The Oriental diamond design on the lid of the box is actually two wood veneer overlays. This is an all wood construction, including the chips and finished with a smooth clear coating. Superb craftsmanship throughout, for an import!
The effect has a lengthy Chinese gambling theme. Single colored chips double magically, and then change into various colors. Money doubles and a decorative writing grandly appears on the paddle to end the routine. The paddle measures 4 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inch. The decorative box housing the entire set measures 5 3/4 inches by 2 inches.
Overall, this is truly a gorgeous paddle that is a treasure in my collection. Don’t recall how much I paid for it, but after seeing it, I would have gladly had paid much more.
Review by Brett Schulman for Star Trick by Larry Becker, Lee Earle

STar Trick
As usual this is ver clever original magic from Mentalism Unlimited. The poster is very well done on heavy paper so it will last a long time. The force is very clever and is done right in front of your spectator. The reveal of the chosen star is great and everything is clean at the end.
Review by Chuck S. for Bauer – Basic Cups and Balls Technique by Ron Bauer
5 out of 5
This is the easies and quickest trick to do. AND FUN!
I read thru the patter 3 times, ran thru the handling 3 times…"You know 3 a big deal in magic…" and I was ready for a test showing… just like all of RBPS (Ron Bauer’s Private Studies) before putting a trick into a show the Conjurer must carefully study his technique and presentation. After studying the material I went to the magic meetings & magic shops to demonstrate. I was pleased with the results. Everyone I showed was fooled (Magician and non-magician).
Review by Doug King for Ancient Paddle Collection by Francois Danis

Very Attractive & Quite Creative!
Francois Danis has done it again! This set of paddle effects is very attractive… and the routines are quite creative. The two mummy paddles are based on the old "parrot cages" paddle effect, using two paddles. The "Hercules" paddle and dice paddle combine to make a sort of "hot rod" type routine. The black is a simple chalk paddle. The routines and "patter" that is provided make for very nice stories while sharing the magic. The paddles have a nice feel for them… and are easy to manipulate the paddle move. Upon receiving my Chance Wolf Paddle Craft set (one of my most prized possessions)… I asked Francois to craft me a set of paddles… Francois Danis style. This is the finished product… and I couldn’t be more satisfied. He is now making an Oriental Paddle Collection… and I can’t wait to get that set.
Review by Anonymous for Strat-o-Sphere by Mak Magic

Classic Kids item
A classic made by Mak Magic. Bought mine used, be careful as older models can have rust on the outer tubes inside seam and the plastic inside tube becomes brittle with age. Be sure to checkout Sammy Smiths’ use of this item. "Ball Brothers’ Traveling Circus" – This routine can be found in his book "Big Laughs for Little People"
Review by Daryl Maddox for Amateur Magician's Handbook by Henry Hay

An Invaluable Text
Henry Hay’s "The Amateur Magician’s Handbook" has been a treasured guide into the realm of magic for several decades now. I have had a copy in my library for forty years and still use it. This is an absolute must-have for anyone aspiring to be good at their magic. Henry Hay is the pen name of J. Barrows Mussey who was a master of sleight of hand, especially coins. Not only are "tricks" presented but the needed philosophy of the magic involved, guidelines for practicing, as well as presentation and routining. In addition to all this, it is very good reading and the first page will quickly ‘pull you in’.
Finally a gimmicked watch that works as a real watch and boy does it work!
Big Balls Richard Osterlind may not need to use a gimmicked watch, but for the rest of us they sure make things easier. Watches for the Mentalist seem to fall into two main camps: those based on the Stull Watch and those based upon Collector’s Workshop Perfect Time. In the former, the watch is gimmicked in such a way that you can predict what time the watch will stop at when set under cover by a spectator, and in the latter the watch can move quickly to any time chosen once a spectator says the time. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, and to a certain extent it is really personal preference.
This new watch from Bazar de Magia falls into the Stull Watch camp. Basically, even though the watch can be freely set to any time when the spectator sets it under cover you know precisely what time it will stop at. From there the rest is presentation. This particular watch rotates through 4 different times so it can be used multiple times to the same audience and also works in a walk around situation. In this sense it is similar to their last watch TimeTrix. However, the one very big difference is this watch not only really works, it is a great looking watch that most people would be more than happy to wear as their every day watch.
Having a watch that actually works really makes a huge difference. It is robust enough and easily good looking enough to wear as your normal watch, so now you are ready at a moments notice to amuse and amaze.
This is just the best practical Stull type watch I have seen. It is very accurate, comes with 17 great routines in a 33 page full-color instruction booklet, and is on my wrist right now.
These will go fast once word gets around, so snap one up now.
