Arne Rising Cards by Tannen’s

(c. 1976)

This is a supposed improvement on the classic Devano Rising Cards and was first introduced by Arne Barnett from Florida. The mechanism is completely enclosed and the cards may be cut any number of times, the chosen cards are replaced in the deck and they will rise, one at a time, whether the cards are in their card case, in the hand or houlette.

The biggest problem I have with the Arne Rising which you can clearly see in the video is that the cards rise way too quickly. With the Devano there appears to be a struggle for the card to rise, and it just looks like to me that it is more magical. Also the Arne uses a sticky surface as opposed to pins which is often trickier to remove the card.
