Louie Gaynor spent most of his life honing his skills as a craftsman with an affinity for “wood.” Over the years he developed a respectable reputation as a specialist for high-end customers interested in special project in their homes. Years of working in this hard labor environment forced Louie to find a way to continue his love for fabrication without the physical demands of “on site” work. Enter his boss Craig Cole (a professional magician) who had the answer. Craig introduced Louie to Joe Stevens and all the ingredients came together to start this new venture.
Commissioned by Stevens Magic, as well as coming up with a few of his own designs Louie’s pieces are in high-demand. Upon viewing his version of Joe Berg Wonder Nest of Boxes, Rich Bloch said, “far and away superior to the original” and Rich was very impressed. Using various combinations of hard woods (exotic and non-exotic), Louie has created quite an impressive line of products that continues to grow. Because of Louie’s meticulous attention to details and uncompromising quality – he has earned a spot here. You can purchase Louie’s beautiful magic exclusively from Joe + Mark Stevens at Stevens Magic.
This great solid Oak production or switching device from Abe Creekmore works very well. It is a little similar to Joe Berg’s No-Fake Card Frame but it has a fake and is also more versatile and easier to use 🙂 This stand can vanish, appear, or switch jumbo cards, postcards, cash and similar flat items. …
This appears to be a rebranded version of Astor’s Visible Card Frame though the years are out. I’m guessing that Astor made them before 2008, as it is hard to believe that Wild Magic created this themselves as plastic was not their specialty. This frame is a version of The Enchanted Card Slide originally invented …
5 out of 5 Normally I would not expect to be raving about a Silk Cabby from India, but this beauty designed by and built for George Robinson at Viking Mfg. by Sunil Batra in India is a real beauty. It reminds me a little of the quality and finish produced by Milson-Worth and the …
5 out of 5 Bob Kline crafted only eight of these exquisite frames. Initially, when I received it, I had a suspicion that it might be the work of Eddy Taytelbaum, given its exceptional craftsmanship. However, upon examining Dr. Albo’s Volume 10 photos, it became clear that they were distinct. To confirm, I reached out …
Normally I would not expect to be raving about a Silk Cabby from India, but this beauty designed by and built for George Robinson at Viking Mfg. by Sunil Batra in India is a real beauty. It reminds me a little of the quality and finish produced by Milson-Worth and the price is certainly reasonable …
5 out of 5 This clever effect was invented by Glen Gloye whilst still a student at Elmhurst College and expertly crafted and marketed by Mazda Magic. It has shades of Joe Berg’s No-Fake Card Frame but uses a very different method. I particularly like to show the cabinet fully empty at first as it …
5 out of 5 The most popular rough and smooth deck of all time! Although, it is often mis-credited to Burling Hull, it is precisely the same deck as Joe Berg’s Ultra-Mental Deck c. 1936. The now standard “invisible deck” comedy presentation was conceived by Eddie Fields and popularized by Don Alan. These are made …
