Enchanted Chambers of Sea-Ling by Richard Gerlitz

(c. 2001) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

This is one of the very first high-end items that Richard produced and it was an instant success! Richard only produced 12 of these and to this day they are very hard to find. This is so beautiful and cleverly made that you are sorely tempted to actually get some Goldfish to perform it live!

Effect: In this one, two tanks of water are on display. Each of the tanks is of glass with frosted aquatic designs, the tops and bases have intricate brass work. One has several goldfish swimming in it and the other is filled with water but otherwise empty. An ornate dragon tube is shown empty and placed over the one with fish. When lifted, the fish are gone. The tube is then placed over the second tank and when lifted from there, the fish are seen to have arrived in the second tank.

Each of the chambers is uniquely gimmicked to mechanically make the fish appear and vanish.

Richard Gerlitz – Modern Magic Genius!

Richard Gerlitz has done it again! These chambers are a work of art, every little thing has been thought out. I’m very tempted to one day actually buy some goldfish to perform this baby. If you ever come across Richard’s work buy it. You will not regret it.

    Work Of Art!!

Visually a beauty to look at and the engineering behind the effect clearly thought out and executed – a trademark of Richard’s work. This is a must for anyone who calls himself a serious collector of the best in magic.
