Larry Becker is one of the true gentlemen of magic and mentalism and has a wonderful line of unique effects and tools for the mentalist.
Larry Becker created the first Chameleon Chest released by Larry and Viking. However, the Mighty Mini manufactured by Magic Wagon with the help of Tony Curtis is breathtaking!
The box is small, silent, very solid and beautiful to behold. The original one is still fine, but unless you are dealing with a lot of choices my preferred chest is the Mighty Mini and due to it’s size I feel it is even more versatile than the original.
Effect: Imagine handing out several business cards and pencils. The chosen spectators are now asked to secretly jot down any four digit number. For example, the year of their birth or the last four digits of their telephone number. The cards are then folded, sealed shut and placed in the locked chest through a small slot by each spectator. The box is shaken mixing the sealed business cards inside. Any spectator is now handed a key and then asked to open the chest and remove anyone of the folded business cards. With his back turned, the performer asks the spectator to open the selected card and then to concentrate on the four digit number written inside. The performer begins to describe the meaning of the digits and finally writes them down, unseen on a large pad. The spectator is asked to call out the numbers on the selected card. The performer shows what he wrote on the pad and the numbers are identical to the ones called out by the spectator.

Larry Becker is one of the true gentlemen of magic and mentalism and has some of the most amazing ideas. I always liked the first Chameleon Chest released by Larry and Viking. However, this new one that Larry has created with the help of Tony Curtis is breathtaking!

Drama and elegance, all in one.
I know there are several versions of this basic mental premise on the market now, all reporting to be the next best thing. And while others offer a more hands-off delivery, I can’t imagine them looking as beautiful as this piece.

I remember being blown away by the original Chameleon box, but this version has taken all the good elements of that effect, and made them easier to handle, prettier to look at, and better to work with. This is a utility device on steroids.
Like all Magic Wagon effects, the price may be intimidating at first. But when you get the piece, handle it, work with it…everything clicks into place, and you realize you’ve made the right decision.
