Dragon’s Chamber by Magic Wagon(c. 2017) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)
So I’m 6-9 months behind adding my Magic Wagon items and I finally have added the last two I had in my closet. And boy are they beauties. Dragon’s Chamber is inspired by Alan Warner’s wonderful Siamese Ribbon and the limited edition here. It is much larger and more ornate than Alan’s version and like the Lintenkabinet, which came later, this version can be shown on all sides. In addition, set-up is the easiest I have seen. I’m very tempted to keep this bad boy.
Really one of the best things Magic Wagon have put out and highly Recommended!
One thing I will comment on is both videos attach the pegs to the ribbon during performance – to me these pegs are just supplied to help the set-up before performance. I personally would not include them in the performance as it just seems suspicious.
(Use your own scissors.)
Effect: The performer displays a beautifully decorated cabinet. The front and back doors are removed revealing a length of golden ribbon running through it and both ends can be seen protruding out from the slots in the sides of the cabinet. The ribbon is now pulled back and forth a few times by the wooden clips attached to either end and showing that only one length of ribbon is used. The performer now takes a pair of scissors and cuts the ribbon into two pieces. He then takes both ends of the cut golden ribbon and touches them on the dragon sculpture inside the cabinet while telling a story about the healing power of the dragon. The doors are now closed, but the ends of the ribbon can still be seen protruding from the slots in the sides of the cabinet and remaining in full view. The performer now removes the wooden clips, pulls one end of the golden ribbon as the other end moves back inside, just as you would expect! The ribbon is then completely removed and found to be fully restored! Both the front and back doors are again removed to show that the interior of the cabinet is completely empty.
This beautiful piece of magic is based on the original idea from Alan Warner’s Siamese Ribbon, but the cabinet has been ingeniously re-designed by a Dutch magician named Rebru so that it can now be viewed from all sides!
The Dragons Chamber measures approximately 12cms wide, 10cms high and 8cms deep. The entire outfit is extremely detailed and each set has been painstakingly and individually hand-crafted by our own exclusive artist.
The photos really do not do justice to this very elaborate piece of magic apparatus! This is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed “Cut & Restored Ribbon” effects ever produced. It is absolutely stunning in appearance!
Magic Wagon would like to thank Mr. Rob Rand and Mr. Méo Buchs for suggesting the ideas for this amazing piece of magic.
