What a clever penetration effect this is from that talented duo of: Joe Long and Paul Lembo. This prop is based on an item originally created by the German Magic historian, performer, and collector, Rüdiger Deutsch (1941 – 2015).
When I received this prop I really liked the method but had some trouble with the handling and an inconsistency with how it was presented. So I changed the handling a little and it not only removed the inconsistency but also made it simpler to perform, even for formal close-up.
This effect can’t be done super close-up. But with the new handling it can be done for formal close-up where you have three or so feet between you and the audience and without a bright spotlight shining on the prop. The prop comes with a special stand that is optional to use with my new handling. Hopefully all will become clear when I get my Speed Demo live soon.
It is incredibly effective and I think you will really enjoy this. Great job Joe and Paul for bringing this clever idea to life 🙂
