What a routine!!
This is one entertaining piece of magic you can not miss. I have seen numerous special mention to this item from Alan in the magic forums whenever his name comes up for discussion and after finally getting it for my collection, I can see the reason for the enthusiasm. It has the best of both worlds…great teak apparatus and an involved lengthy routine that entertains. A whole show in itself!!

Another nice piece from Alan
Clever piece from Alan in that the "forcing" is done in a most natural manner that would even fool a magician. The props are beautiful as always and accomplish the effect without any awkwardness. Nice addition to any Warner collection.
This is one of the simpler effects from Alan but a piece to cherish. Its just gets lost among the other fabulous magic from this genius of a man. Though straight forward in execution, the gimmick is beautifully done and the craftsmanship of the entire apparatus definitely deserves a 5+.

Beautiful Props and Routine
This a great piece from Alan. A definte buy for the Warner collector…though what piece from Alan isn’t. Rainbow of colors, beautiful teak, and clever method makes this one a very entertaining routine. Easy to perform and highly magical. Highly Recommended

The "Ultimate" card case?
This case is truly marvelous…THREE changes and not a single sweat to perform. The workmanship is, of course, impeccable. Alan picks teak with beautiful grain patterns for these pieces since the case is "large" and easily showcases this gorgeous wood. The accompanying instructions provide 20 ideas for the card case, so it has so many possibilities. I bought Colourama specifically for this case: the two pieces complement each other in one sure-fire routine.

One Very Special Box…Thanks, Alan
Alan celebrated the new millennium and the year 2000 by issuing this limited edition boxed collection. It consists of 8 effects housed in a gorgeously done mahogany veneered hinged box. This item was limited to only 12 sets and each accompanied by a signed certificate. The effects vary from simple classics to very nice originals that can stand up to Alan’s more formidable pieces. I particularly like Geometric, Kubika, and Candle Candle. This beautiful collection would be the envy of any magic set collector. Forget Mysto and other "collectible" magic sets, this is more reminiscent of those antique wooden magic sets of the past, all handcrafted with meticulous attention to esthetics and function. You really need to see this set firsthand to really appreciate the workmanship, as images are clearly inadequate.
Alan has always proved himself a master craftsman and inventor, but he is also a most generous man. I will particularly cherish the Millennium Box I received because what started as an honest mistake led to a remarkable gesture from Alan. 2 weeks ago, an inquiry regarding 2 effects in this collection led us to believe that No. 12, the last box in the series, was still available. I ended up paying for what was eventually unraveled to be a sold-out series. However, Alan, in the kindness of his heart, promptly offered me his own box, No. 1, from his personal collection of his magic. I was quite taken by such a gesture and I can’t thank Alan enough. This unique piece will definitely hold a special place in my Warner collection.

Nice piece of coin magic
Beautiful prop and great routine makes this Warner item a winner. Sure, it may get lost in Alan’s other gorgeous pieces but I particularly like the concept of the silver coin moving around the copper coins in an intriguing magical dance.

Another impressive Warner piece!
Very clever prediction and it comes in twos! I could not believe the method and construction involved to accomplish the effect. I just kept examining the key component to the effect and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. This is vague but further details would mean revealing the secret. Trust me, this is one excellent piece of magic. Thanks again, Alan.
Review by George Guerra for Riser Micro Chop Cups by Jim Riser, Dennis Loomis

The Cutest Chop Cup and a Great Routine
This is the fabulous Riser Micro Chop Cup in both copper and stainless steel. The professional and entertaining routine that accompanies the props is by Dennis Loomis. What a team these two have been to release this item to the magic community. The cups are quite small, about the size of a shot glass, but don’t let the size fool you. This is practical and beautiful magic. These will not stay on your shelf and look pretty. Jim Riser has done a fantastic job with the machining of these cups. Again, inside each cup you will find engraved "James P Riser" to authenticate these little wonders. If you do any chop cup routine, or even if you have no interest in the chop cup, I can guarantee you that you will love this set. The Loomis routine is performed right on your palm, which serves as a "table" for the cup; this is a great concept as you can feel the dislodging ball and rectifies one major problem I have encountered with chop cups.
The first picture also shows two current accessories: 1) the Aldo Colombini’s Laser Cup routine with the red, white, blue, and combo balls (a devil handkerchief, included, but not pictured); and 2) the Knock-Out Disk. Jim plans to release a special Sacagewea gaff coin in the near future for coin cup routines. So, many possibilities abound with these cups. Again, thanks Jim and Dennis for such a great release.

Beautiful Rare Close-up Version of a Classic
I remember when I started in Magic, the first "real" catalog on magic I owned was Abbott’s. There was one effect I loved but couldn’t afford it at the time. That was Jack Hughes’s Cube on Release. This piece by Jim Riser is a "miniature" rendition of this effect and it’s beautiful. The frame is solid dark walnut construction and the cube, a contrasting light colored maple. The natural wood finish is a first in this version. I believe all Cube on Release apparatus in the past were painted. The size of the apparatus is just perfect for close-up; the cube is 2 3/4 inches. The Abbott’s model used a 5-inch cube. Jim designed his version so that the frame, along with the cube and ropes, can be passed out for examination at the end of the routine.
This is quite a rare item. Jim only made two of these and has no plans to make any more. The last I heard, John Mendoza owned the other remaining piece. Jim has built a well-deserved reputation for his famous spunned cups. What may not be well known is his exemplary woodworking skill and this apparatus clearly shows it. Thanks, Jim, for such a wonderful recreation of a classic piece of magic.
