Multiplying Bottles by Magicus(c. 1995)
The Multiplying Bottles was created in Chicago by Arthur P. Felsman in the 1920’s (see here for more details.). Ken Brooke c. 1950 created one of the most popular and enduring routines which was packaged and sold with Harry Stanley’s nine bottle set around the same time. For decades these were the bottles to get. And even today Ken’s routine is still the standard.
MÁGICUS of Barcelona, Spain were founded in 1942 by Josep M. Ferrándiz. They are a large manufacturer of fine quality magic and ship to magic dealers, performers and theaters all around the world. These particularly bottles are a fine example of their commitment to quality. Today Magicus is run by Josep’s son Caris Ferrándiz.
These bottles are some of the finest bottles I have ever seen and they came as a set of 16 which is also very rare. Beautifully spun from metal and gleaming chrome tubes and full routine.
The magician shows a bottle and a glass and each is covered with an empty tube. They mysteriously change places. The effect is repeated, but to everyone’s surprise, another bottle appears, then another and another and so on until twelve bottles have been produced but there is no sign of the glass. Two of the bottles are covered and are transformed into two glasses. Finally the tubes are lifted to reveal the two bottles. You can, if you wish, pour drinks out of four of the bottles.
