Tibetan Prayer Sticks by Viking Mfg., Brema

(c. 1923,1990) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

The Tibetan Prayer Sticks are a miniature version of an effect designed by Carl Brema called The Devil’s Ladder and now manufactured by Viking Mfg. Co. Hand crafted from solid brass stock. Thayer also sold their version of The Devil’s Ladder called The Devil’s Pillar.

Effect: Two brass pillars are displayed; they are connected to each other by two lengths of cotton cord. The spectator is given a choice of which cord to cut which he does. The two pillars are then placed side by side and the cords pulled. magically the cut cord is restored.

This is an unusual effect, very seldom seen. A great example of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Viking is known for. A great collectible for anyone adding to their brass/Brema collection. Pillars are 3 3/4″ long.
