Show Biz Card by Guy Bavli
(c. 2003) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This is a simple idea but really makes the spectators smile and say “Wow!” when they see their card appear at the end of the animation. The cards are well produced and the refill pack has ten different force cards to choose from. Yes it does use a force but it is worth it.
I have found that you can really get an extra kick out of this routine if you do it twice back to back (with different cards each time of course), because it appears to rule out any sort of set-up.
And the best thing is after the smiles the spectator is left with your business card in their hands, along with the printed sticker of their chosen card which they will remember. Great item for close-up, restaurants, and walk-around.
Effect: You are about to offer one of your business cards to a spectator in an especially striking way…
The spectator selects a card from a deck of cards. You then show a stack of business cards, with a beautiful picture of hands on it. You riffle the stack of business cards and the hands seem to visually move like in a motion picture:
The hands clap and a deck of cards appear. The cards are spread and one card magically rises from the deck. The animated hand picks up the card and turns it over – it is the chosen card!
This business card with the picture of the chosen card is then given to the spectator to keep – it is YOUR REAL BUSINESS CARD!
