Review by Andy Martin for Cocobolo Two Piece Wand (With Brass Tips) by Shamrock Magic
5 out of 5
About twenty years ago Shamrock Magic were making beautiful wands and then they disappeared from the scene. But now they are back as cloistersales on ebay with wands that are better than ever! I really love this two piece wand – how could you not possess magical powers with one of these bad boys in your jacket pocket 🙂
I’ve always liked the look of these beautiful teak boxes. They are compact and strong and with the red and blue Chinese symbols look very striking. What is even better about these boxes is that they are a general switching device, anything that fits in one box can be transported into the other box: cards, billets, letters, colors, etc. You could use them in forces, do as I do effects, mind reading effects – the list is long!
There are no switches, flaps or external devices – the boxes are totally self contained and the method is just so very clever and very convincing. You will love how they look and how they operate – very different from any other card boxes I have seen.
As Willi Wessel created his unique custom boxes for each of his Alan Warner items he also created four Collections where he grouped together multiple pieces to form Mini Collections all contained in their own custom box.
I cannot think of anyone who has spent so much time and effort to store, protect and display Alan Warner’s magic or dare I say anyone else’s. It is such a treat to see all of the effort Willi went to for one of his biggest influences: Alan Warner.
_EF This first Mini Collection includes the following items:
What a great looking prop that plays a role in a very charming story about a mythical frog that likes money! The mechanics are easy to operate and provide a wonderful change right under the audiences nose!
This one is a fun transpo effect of english coins going from one teak tube to another without any apparent moves being made by the performer. The audience can even be involved by having them place the coins in the tube as the performer holds it!

This is a great looking, but sneaky, mental effect that will fool any laymen. It’s very entertaining because an audience member participates during the entire performance. There other versions of this effect out there, but none as pleasing as this one to perform!

A fantastic set of props that help to create a wonderful story of a whimsical art thief named, Jack the Lad. With very few “moves”, the magic happens right out in the open to audience’s delight. Glad that have this one!

Boy, was I happy to acquire these two boxes. Great to handle and display. Their very clever workings makes it easy to perform a super clean transpo effect using any items that will fit inside them. To get you started, Alan includes a few Patience Cards.
Review by Steve Payne for Lightning Box by Alan Warner

This one leaves the audience wondering what the hell just happened? Invisible lightening passes through a gorgeous box without leaving a mark, then through some playing cards leaving visible holes, only to stop on a previously selected card left unharmed! Now, try and figure that one out!!
If you can find one or get Alan to make one. grab it!
