The Chinese Sticks are actually of European origin c. 1693 and were originally known as the Pillars of Solomon and also the Hindu Wands, and in the early versions it was not possible to fully separate the sticks. Silent Mora c. 1925 was one of the earliest performers to make it a feature of his act.
These Chinese sticks are beautifully finished in red Chinese lacquer with golden ends and red tassels. The mechanism is smooth and completely silent. This set includes a velvet carrying case and full instructions.
Effect: A classic of magic for the professional performer. Two ornate, Chinese sticks are exhibited; each with a tasselled cord passing through one end. Pulling on one cord causes the other to rise as if they are connected; and, indeed, they are connected at the back end. The performer cuts the cord connecting them but they continue to work even though no connection is possible!

Andy Martin –
A Wonderful Version of a True Classic
We all remember being fooled by the Chinese Sticks as kids and what better way to reproduce that feeling than with this wonderful set from my good friend George Robinson at Viking Mfg/Collector’s Workshop.
These sticks look stunning in their bright red and gold tips and have a nice solid feel to them. The mechanism is smooth as silk and all that is needed is practice and a fun routine that they also come with.
Good to see these back in production, get a set now before they run out again!
