Your Choice by Ickle Pickle

This was copied (without permission as far as I am able to ascertain) from an effect that was invented by New Jersey magic dealer and craftsman, Al Largamisino, called Your Choice, which itself was based upon Tony Lackner’s Vanishing Deck Case.

Effect: Two decks of Bicycle cards are displayed. The backs of one deck are red; the backs of the other deck are blue. Each of the decks fits into its own wooden box. A spectator is asked to choose a color, red or blue. After the color has been chosen one box is closed and put aside. The other deck is removed from its box and the deck is shuffled.

The spectator is then told to select a card. His card is placed in the deck and the deck is placed back in its wooden box. The latch is closed. The spectator is asked to name his chosen card. After he names his card, YOU open the box that was first put aside. When the box is opened the deck has vanished and all that remains is a miniature card that matches the spectator’s chosen card.
